What is a committee (kameti)?

A committee, also called kameti, BC, or beesi, is the rotating savings circle of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and the South Asian diaspora. Members pay a fixed amount each month, and the total goes to one member per round, chosen by draw or by an agreed order. Committees run among colleagues, market traders, neighbours, and families.
The organizer keeps the list and collects the money. Nyocte gives every member the same record, keeps the order and the payout history, and adds votes and meetings when the group needs to decide, with the app available in Hindi, Urdu, and Bengali.

Is Nyocte free for a committee?
Yes. The app is free for every group, with no member limit and no premium tier. Payment processing, where your group chooses to use it, is handled by a payment provider and can carry a fee. Record-keeping, meetings, votes, and chat cost nothing.
Does Nyocte hold the group's money?
No. Nyocte keeps the record. Contributions can still be collected the way your committee already collects them: cash at the meeting, bank transfer, or mobile money. Where in-app payments are available, they are processed by a licensed payment provider and Nyocte does not hold funds.
Is Nyocte a chit fund?
No. Nyocte is a record-keeping and group management app. It does not run chit auctions or hold funds. Regulated chit funds have their own legal requirements; Nyocte suits informal committees run among people who know each other.
Which languages are available?
Nyocte's app includes Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, and English, and each member chooses their own language.
