Create your first Nyocte group in five minutes

Choose the setup that matches your group

Nyocte asks one question first: what kind of group is this? The answer sets sensible defaults.

• Association or club. Committees, alumni groups, church and cultural associations. Meetings, roles, votes, and documents are on from the start.
• Friends & community. Families, neighbours, and friends. Conversation first; add structure when you need it.
• Savings or contribution group. Njangi, tontine, chama, stokvel, susu, and every other rotating savings tradition. Contribution records and the rotation are on from the start.

You can change any of this later in group settings.

Name it the way people already say it

Use the name people use in conversation, not an official one nobody says. "Bafut Family Meeting Douala" beats "BFMD Association Inc." Add a short description that says what the group is for and who belongs.

Invite your people

Share the invitation link in the chat your members already use, or read out the join code at your next meeting. Give the officials their roles as they join: chair, treasurer, secretary. Everyone else is a member.

Do one useful thing today

A group that does something on day one survives. Pick one:

1. Post the date and agenda of the next meeting.
2. Record last month's contributions.
3. Upload the constitution or the members list as a document.
4. Start a vote on one open question.

Tell people what to expect

Post a short welcome: what the group is for, how often you will meet, and where to find the record. New members read the welcome page first; write it for them.
