You already talk in one app, pay in another, and lose decisions in the scroll. Nyocte brings it together — with governance built in.

Three Apps Your Group Already Uses. One Place to Run It.

Nyocte group chat with voice note transcription and inline RSVP, Vote, and Pay actions

Talk

Messages that become actions

Voice notes, threads, and replies — with RSVP, vote, and pay buttons right in the conversation. No hunting through menus when Auntie Grace asks for confirmation by Friday.

Without Nyocte: the plan lives in chat, the payment happens elsewhere, and someone still has to chase the spreadsheet.

Nyocte TownSquare feed with reunion venue announcement and family reactions

TownSquare

Your group's own square

Announcements, reactions, and threads for the whole group — not a public timeline, not a buried pin. When Uncle Tunde books the venue, everyone sees it and the conversation starts there.

Without Nyocte: big news gets reposted three times across three chats, and half the group never sees it.

Nyocte Treasury showing group balance, monthly overview, and recent transactions

Treasury

Money that stays with the group

Collect dues, track balances, and post receipts to the group — line by line, with names. When the treasurer opens the books, the annual report is already written.

Without Nyocte: contributions land in personal wallets, receipts live in screenshots, and reconciliation is a Sunday you'll never get back.

A day, with your people

Nyocte Family Reunion chat — Auntie Grace voice note about budget approval, with inline RSVP, Vote, Pay actions
07:14

The first message of the day.

Auntie Grace voice-notes the family group: the budget passed, confirm your table by Friday. The whole family hears her — and right under her message, the actions are already waiting. RSVP. Vote. Pay. The chat doesn't send you off looking for the rest of the app. The rest of the app comes to the chat.

Nyocte Family Dues — Mama's rent contribution, 18 of 24 members paid, recent transactions
09:42

Mama's rent. The family pulls together.

Eighteen of twenty-four already paid. You tap once — your share lands in the pot, the receipt posts to the family group, and nobody has to chase anyone for what they owe.

Nyocte Family Meeting — Sunday Reunion Planning, agenda preview, 16 confirmed
11:08

Sunday reunion planning.

Agenda already typed up: welcome, budget, activities, food. Sixteen RSVPs in. Two maybes. The whole hall knows where to be on Sunday before the meeting even starts.

Nyocte TownSquare — Uncle Tunde post: Reunion venue booked, family comments and reactions
12:30

Lunch break. Uncle Tunde drops the news.

Reunion venue booked for July 17th. The whole family lights up. Drums and echoes ripple across the feed. Tosin's already asking about the kids' activities. Mama Naira can't wait. Half the conversation has happened before you finish your sandwich.

Nyocte Tasks — Plan, assign, get it done together. Open tasks for the reunion.
13:30

Everyone takes a piece.

Grace has the caterer. Auntie Grace is on the DJ. Mom's calling the venue. You've got the seating chart. Nothing falls through the cracks — because nothing is in someone's head, it's in the shared list, and the list knows who's doing what by when.

Nyocte committee vote — Approve reunion budget, transparent results
15:00

The committee decides.

The reunion budget needs a vote. You see who voted, when, and the live tally — verified, transparent, kept forever. No polls buried in a chat. A proper decision, with a proper record.

Nyocte Treasury — Available balance $8,420, monthly overview, recent transactions
16:00

The Treasurer opens the books.

Eight thousand four hundred twenty in available balance. Every contribution. Every payout. Every reimbursement — line by line, with names. When the AGM comes, the annual report writes itself. You stop dreading the spreadsheet, because there isn't one.

Nyocte Reunion Live — 142 watching, family at the table with string lights, live chat
18:30

The reunion is live, before the reunion.

Auntie Karen is live from the table. One hundred and forty-two people watching together — half of them on three different continents — sending hearts, asking for the recipe, telling Demos where to get the lights.

From tracking contributions to running votes, Nyocte replaces the chaos of scattered chats and spreadsheets with purpose-built tools for your Chama.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Nyocte really free?

Yes, Nyocte is completely free for all groups. There are no hidden fees, no premium tiers, and no feature limits. We believe every community deserves great tools.

Is my financial data safe?

Absolutely. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Nyocte does not hold or process your funds — payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor. Your group's financial records are private and only visible to authorized members with the right roles.

How is this different from group chats?

Group chats are great for messaging, but it wasn't built for running a group. Nyocte gives you financial tracking, voting, meeting management, attendance, penalties, tasks, a business directory, rewards, and structured governance — all the things a chat app can't do.

Can I use it on mobile and web?

Yes! Nyocte is available as a native app for iOS and Android, and the full experience is also available in your browser at web.nyocte.com. Your data syncs across all devices in real time.

What financial tools are included?

Groups get multiple financial accounts (main, savings, special purpose), contribution tracking, collections with pledge boards, rotation schedules for stokvels, budgets with category breakdowns, invoicing, and full transaction history — all in the group's own currency.

How does meeting management work?

Schedule one-time or recurring meetings with agendas, locations, and RSVP options. Track attendance automatically, record meeting minutes with action items, and members get reminders before each meeting.

Can I run votes and elections?

Yes. Create votes with customizable options, deadlines, quorum thresholds, and multiple voting methods. Members can even delegate their vote to a trusted proxy. Results are tallied automatically.

Does Nyocte support voice and video calls?

Yes. Start one-on-one or group voice and video calls directly from any chat. Calls use WebRTC via LiveKit and work even when the app is in the background — you'll receive push notifications for incoming calls.

What languages does Nyocte support?

Nyocte is available in 50+ languages including English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, Tswana, Swahili, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, and many more. Change your language in settings.

Can I control what members can do?

Absolutely. Groups come with default roles (Chairperson, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Member) and you can create custom roles with granular permissions for finances, meetings, voting, documents, penalties, and more.

Can I assign tasks to group members?

Yes. Create tasks with priorities, due dates, and assignees. Organize them into projects and track progress through todo, in-progress, and done statuses.

How do penalties and fines work?

Admins can issue warnings, fines, or suspensions for rule violations. Configure auto-detection for late arrivals, absences, and missed contributions. Members can appeal penalties, and escalation rules are fully customizable.

What is the Business Directory?

Group members can list their businesses, create service listings with booking calendars, and manage customers with a built-in CRM. It helps build economic connections within your community.

Is there a rewards or loyalty system?

Members earn points for participation — attending meetings, contributing, voting, and chatting. Points unlock badges and can be redeemed from a rewards catalog. A leaderboard shows top contributors and streaks reward consistent activity.

Can I export my group's data?

Yes, you can export your group's financial records, member lists, and meeting minutes at any time. Your data belongs to you.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Go to Privacy & Security in your profile settings and select Delete Account. There's a 30-day grace period to cancel. After that, all your data is permanently removed.
